Nitrogen
Nitrogen is the most abundant gas in Earth’s atmosphere. It is a colourless, odourless, and tasteless gas. We offer compressed Nitrogen gas and liquid Nitrogen gas in a variety of purities and concentrations.
Nitrogen is used:
- In food packaging in order to displace oxygen which helps food to last longer.
- To perform pressure testing and aid leak detection/testing
- For inflating tyres to give a longer life and better mileage.
- In mining industry to quickly extinguish fire by eliminating oxygen.
- For electroplating the stainless steel to make it stronger and resistant to corrosion.
- To make fertilizers, nitric acid, dyes, and so on by treating it with hydrogen to produce ammonia.
- In liquid form known as Liquid Nitrogen that has the following uses:
- Refrigerant to rapidly freeze and transport food products
- Cryotherapy to remove skin abnormalities
- Cryosurgery to remove dead cells form brain
- Cryopreservation of blood, biological samples (like eggs, sperms, and so on)
- Creating nitrogen fog
- Cooling of superconductors
